  2. Oh... I miss going to the province. My grannies used to have lots of farm animals that any kid would love to play with. I can just imagine how my toddler will play with those chicks. :-)

    1. Yes! You got it right! The farm caretaker got the hen to hatch the ducklings while they were still eggs, or rather unhatched. Those ducklings believed that the hen was their mother and the hen thought that the ducklings are really hers :)

    2. It was their beaks that gave the "chicks" away. ;) This is mutual adoption, no?

    3. Not really sure, the caretaker must have been experimenting because of boredom, lol! But when I saw them, I was amazed, they're inseparable, and the hen looked like she really loves the ducklings like her own! :)

  5. Wow! I couldn't tell what was unusual until I saw the comment, that is so awesome! That warms me up. Do you mind if I share this blog post on Facebook so my mom can see it? She has a farm and she loves her hens. She would love to see baby ducklings with a hen!
