The Night My Voice Was On The Radio

It was almost eight in the evening, a typical busy day and I was about to go home when I decided to check out my Facebook. That was the time when we were still allowed to have FB in the office. So, I did open my facebook and I saw this fan page of my favorite radio station posted a message “first female caller gets a chance to win a Palmolive gift pack” just a few seconds old. I immediately dialed the number without any idea what the contest was all about.

So I got an answer from the DJ and instructed me with what we were going to do.  It was a contest where all I needed to do was to sing the Palmolive soap jingle and answered a few questions.  Do you remember that Anne Curtis tv commercial where she was singing “I feel your soft caress upon my skin…”? That’s it! I sang it on the radio. I had no idea if anyone who knows me heard my voice or recognized it was me. Probably none because nobody messaged me about that but that time I was really nervous. I had no idea how I sounded like, I thought I sounded so corny and stupid.

But anyway, I got the prize, a gift pack full of Palmolive soaps and shampoo. I asked my friend to pick up the prize for me so I had to share it with him. It was such an unforgettable day, and I was so happy because I got a big supply of soap and shampoo. It just made me happy after that embarrassing song number!
